JURISDICTION & GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Accessibility & Inclusion Commitment
The Other Door is committed to providing inclusive and accessible services in line with the Equality Act 2010. We work to ensure that all participants, including those with additional learning needs, disabilities, or communication differences, can engage meaningfully in our programmes.
HEALTH & SAFETY
While The Other Door follows professional standards and host-site protocols, ultimate responsibility for on-site health and safety, including emergency procedures and risk assessments, remains with the hosting institution (such as schools, prisons, or probation facilities).
INSURANCE & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
All facilitators working with The Other Door are covered by appropriate Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. However, duty of care for participants remains with the host-site unless otherwise agreed in writing.
COMPLAINTS & FEEDBACK PROCEEDURE
Any concerns, complaints, or feedback should be submitted in writing to The Other Door via email. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 10 working days and respond fully within 28 working days.
SAFEGUARDING COMPLIANCE
The Other Door operates under a formal Safeguarding Policy compliant with UK safeguarding legislation. All staff and facilitators working with minors or vulnerable adults hold current DBS certification. Our Safeguarding Policy is available upon request.
Limitation of Therapeutic Responsibility
While our workshops may include reflective or emotional exploration, The Other Door does not provide counselling or therapeutic services unless explicitly contracted to do so. Participants requiring therapeutic support will be referred to appropriate professional services.
PARTNERSHIP & HOST-SITE RESPONSIBILITY
The Other Door operates in partnership with host institutions. The host organisation retains responsibility for participant supervision, emergency protocols, and safeguarding reporting structures during sessions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Schools, institutions, or partner organisations are responsible for ensuring that participants have consent to take part in sessions.

The Other Door reserves the right to refuse participation or remove individuals from a session if their behaviour poses a risk to others or disrupts the safe running of the programme.
SAFEGUARDING & WELLBEING

We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and respectful environments.

All staff and facilitators undergo appropriate safeguarding checks in line with UK legislation.

Any concerns regarding safeguarding or wellbeing must be reported immediately to a designated safeguarding lead at The Other Door or the host institution.
BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS

Bookings must be confirmed in writing by email or through an official agreement.

Cancellations by schools or institutions within 14 days of the scheduled session may be subject to a cancellation fee.

In the unlikely event that The Other Door has to cancel or reschedule a session, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or a full refund.
FEES & PAYMENT

All fees must be paid according to the terms outlined in your invoice or contract.

Late payments may incur additional charges.

Travel, accommodation, or material costs (if applicable) will be clearly stated in advance.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All workshop materials, scripts, exercises, and resources provided by The Other Door remain our intellectual property.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any content without prior written permission.

Participants may be invited to contribute original content as part of sessions. By doing so, you grant The Other Door permission to use this work for educational or promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed.
PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING & MEDIA CONSENT

On occasion, we may document workshops or performances for training, evaluation, or promotional use.

Consent for photography or filming will always be requested in advance through the host institution or organisation.

Participants or guardians have the right to opt out of any media documentation.
DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
